TELEVISION Soundtrack
Perhaps this post is a bit premature since most people are still waiting to see and hear the movie on tour, but there have been many requests about this years soundtrack already. So let’s talk music!
Music is clearly a huge part of the ski vid experience and we try really hard to collect a diverse range of sounds to accompany the visuals. However, it’s a very personal preference and we know everybody can’t be pleased all the time, so bring your ipod if you’re a real picky SOB. Our budget doesn’t allow us to utilize mainstream or ‘popular’ tunes so we sift through tons of tracks to find the less known gems. Luckily there is a large amount of music available that fits into our tiny little budget. We also use website’s like sonicbids where you can announce your project and what you’re willing to pay then artists submit songs, or magnatunes has an ok selection of music with pre-determined fees. Many of our segments this year were in need of mood setting background pieces and we found incompetech was a great source for these short and sweet tracks. When all else fails Jonah and I just go into the kitchen and bang some pots and pans while sticking different utensils in the sink disposal (surprising how well that can turn out).We hope you enjoy the music we provided.
