Jake Sakson’s Backcountry Rap Video

Jake Sakson is a cold blooded killer on the slopes and on the mic. You’ve all seen him go super sonic on AK’s enormous lines from last year’s flick ‘Television’. And he gave us a small glimpse of his lyrical skillz in the credits. Well this year he takes it one step further and spits some deeply poetic backcountry rhymes in ‘Breaking Trail’. This is an original piece Jake put together during a few down days last season. Sometimes something is so bad it’s good. Check it!

But that’s not all!  After the world premiere of “Breaking Trail” in SLC we headed out to the after party at The Woodshed. It just so happened to be rap battle night! Here is the epic rap battle between Jake (aka Poncho) and one angry guy who calls himself Crooked Tooth. He really wanted to rip Jake’s head off. Jake held his own against SLC’s ‘best’ freestyle rappers. They somehow try and take these things seriously, but I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in a long time. Thanks for always throwing down hard Jakey!
