Day One La Grave, France

Share

Two planes, two buses and twenty two hours later we arrived in La Grave, France. Word was that they had been having an amazing season. The wind decided to get their a day before us and blow the powder away. No worries it was a beautiful day so we headed out to see what we could find.

The snow wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t terrible. The sun was out and we were in the Alps, it doesn’t get much better then that.

Dylan had been to La Grave three years ago and had been dying to get back ever since. Here he is dropping into a couloir we found.

The size of the mountains is phenomenal. The freedom to go wherever you want is refreshing. Your responsible to know where you are going and to make the call on your own safety.

We found another cool little couloir and Dylan dropped in. We found the best snow to be in the steep sheltered couloirs.

After five laps on the Telepherique my legs were cooked so we grabbed some food.

Dylan enjoying a cheese plate and fresh berry pie. Life is good in France. Stay tuned for more updates. Bonjour.
