Powderwhore is currently updating our Whores page with the athletes that will be appearing in Flakes. As of today we have 3 athletes listed. All 3 happen to be new to filming with PW and if they continue doing what they do they should be in many more films to come.
Ty Dayberry is new to filming with us, but he is hands down the king of backcountry booters and park skiing. He is the only telemark athlete to have been in a Unparalled Productions, Tough Guy Productions, Falling Forward Productions, Lipstick Films, and now PW film. We feel lucky to have gotten out with him this past winter and put together a segment that will blow people away.
Paul Kimbrough is new to the tele scene and has already had 2 podium finishes in the telemark freeski comps. He looks the part of the hippy tele skier when he’s skinning up, but as soon as he puts on his full face helmet watch out this guy means business. He got out with us on a day when we were playing with a new filming toy and the results are pretty exciting.
Jake Sakson wins the rookie of the year award. I was lucky enough to go to Valdez with him for 2 weeks. Every time I had the camera pointed at him I was just excited to see what he was going to try. For only being 19 he sure skied like a veteran. His segment is sick.
We’ll be updating the page with more athletes soon so check it out.

Greetings,
Dylan and i are back in the lower 48 safe and sound after our outing was cut short due to lack of snow and poor conditions. Sorry for the delay in posting our progress, or lack of. I’m working on a vid of the outing which should be up soon. Despite not getting to our objective the trip was very successful in that we had a great time and captured some really cool footage. There was also a ton of information gathered on what this line takes to be skied and we are both committed to another go next season.
Noah
Another expedition update. They now have all their gear and themselves on top of Crossen. Currently the weather reports are mixed and they are waiting to see if they will get a window to head down to the Foraker Glacier. Noah said Crossen turned out to be much harder then they planned, but they both seem to be in good spirits.
Noah called again yesterday to let me know they’d hauled 100lb. of gear to the top of Crossen. Then they got to ski 5,500 vertical feet of what Dylan said was the worst skiing he’d ever done. They think they found their way to get down to the Foraker Glacier and are thinking Sat. will probably be the day. For now they are hanging out in 70mph winds.
As I was enjoying dinner at an all you can eat sushi joint last night, I got a call from Noah on his satellite phone. They got their flight in, but were unable to get the fly over to check out Crossen and the Foraker Glacier. They are currently at the base of Crossen hanging out with Andrew McLean and his team. Weather is looking okay enough for them to probably summit Crossen within the next few days. I’ll let you know more when I do.
