Jacobsen and Devore

We just put up two more athlete profiles on the Whores page. They are both guys that have really established themselves in the world of Telemark.

Andy Jacobsen has been with PW from day one. He helped us start the company and is the only athlete that has been in every movie other then Noah and I. There is a lot more to being in one of our movies then just being a good skier. You have to be a strong hiker, have a knowledge of the mountains and snow pack and understand what does and doesn’t work for filming. Andy is a master of all of this and he is an incredible skier. We’ve been lucky to have such a great friend to enjoy the mountains with.

Nick Devore blew our minds the first time we skied with him back in 2006 and has continued his devastation of the mountains ever since. It is a treat to be able to go out and watch him live, the camera just doesn’t fully capture just how great he is.

The Ladies of Powderwhore

We are happy to announce that both Megan Michelson and Dede O’Mara will be in another PW flick, as well as newcomer Paige Brady. These ladies came to the Wasatch several times this past winter, and feasted on the pow.

Megan made her debut last year in “The Pact” and crushed lines and hearts. She won the Alpine Meadows freeski comp this year and took second at Alyeska.

Dede spent two weeks filming with PW in Argentina last summer. We captured some amazing footage from that trip. Read more about her adventure here.

Paige is the new girl on the block. She burst onto the free ski comp scene by placing second at Alpine Meadows and Crested Butte. Then takes the title of World Champion at Alyeska. She use to nordic race in college so she’ll kick your butt up the mountain also.
