The premiere of Television and the kick off for the 40 city tour is less than one month away and raffle gear from our sponsors is pouring into PW central. In total we’ll be raffling off over $30,000 in product to benefit local non-profits like the Utah Avalanche Center, Friends of Berthoud Pass, Winterwild Lands and many more. You can never have enough T-shirts, unless you ask my wife. She thinks a shirt needs a collar? We have 3 T’s available currently on our site. First we have the “Powderwhore T”.

This is the shirt for the person that wants everyone to know they are a Whore.

Television Trailer

It’s fun putting together the trailer when you’ve got plenty of great footage to work with. This years was really fun and easy! We didn’t go too heavy on the Television theme, but kept it pretty simple with highlights and a good rockin’ soundtrack. However, don’t think that because you’ve seen the trailer, you’ve seen the movie. We’ve got plenty of surprises in how the full length feature will be presented!

Telemark Skier Magazine

A week or so ago our friend JT Robinson came over to PW headquarters aka my house and interviewed us for TSM. He put together a nice little video. Telemark Skier Magazine is putting out two issues this winter so keep your eyes open for them or go to the site and subscribe.

Things are finally coming together here at PW. The movie isn’t too far away from being done. Our website should be updated shortly. We just got the artwork for the new DVD. Our friend Sean Quill did the design with photos provided by Jay Beyer.

Flight Seeing Haines

At the moment we’re sifting and sorting the footage from our trip to Haines, AK. The past two springs we’ve done self-supported expeditions in the mountains surrounding Haines. This year we spent 17 days on the glacier camping and skiing the steepest and scariest lines we’ve ever found. There is no easy access into these mountains so we’re assisted each year by the gate keeper, Drake Olsen. We thought we’d take you on a short flight through the surrounding mountains with THE Drake Olsen. We’ve flown with him the past two seasons and there is no doubt that he is The Man when it comes to fixed wing flying and glacial landings. He always gets us safely in and out of great skiing zones while giving us a thrilling ride. So please buckle your seat belts, place your tray tables in the upright position and enjoy the flight!

We are currently editing away at Powderwhore. We are working on Jason West’s segment right now, here are some screen grabs from his segment.

Jason got out with us both in the Wasatch and on Thompson Pass. His segment is really cool because he has both big lines and deep pow.
